Wading Through the Blues with Heron

Keeping up with the Joneses is a well-trained mantra
in our modern externally directed world.
But this kind of living is finite and unsustainable.

We are living in an expert society . . .
Where temptations abound to give up our power to another –
Like we do when reacting violently or putting a guru on a pedestal.

But with Heron, we are snatching aggressive self-determination, self-reliance
and heeding the call of our own innate wisdom to know what path we must follow.
We need to remember to temper our raw emotions
by channeling our energy into positive and constructive action.

The only sustainable way to co-create change in our world is from the inside out.
Revolutionary zeal – without the hate.

Overcoming our fear of the unknown means leaning into our feelings.
Gut wrenching as they might be –
We are here to learn lessons.
And while gentle growth is a real possibility –
Try not to demonize getting uncomfortable . . .
By swooping in with protective sanitation tactics.

Meditate on children for a moment . . .
Are they not conduits into a deeper understanding
of the mystery of the present moment?
Are you going with the flow of these changing tides –
While moving through transitions as gracefully as possible?

If you are focused on life’s cosmetic imperfections . . .
Beyond a cursory glance –
Take a closer look at what is stimulating your soul from a deeper place.
Sitting with that might buy you time and save you money . . .
from surgically adding more scar tissue.

Heron reflects to us that our legs are conduits to our roots into the earth.
In a balanced way, we are all here to learn to stand on our own two feet.
Connecting with water element gives us an opportunity to
Wade through life’s multi-dimensional realities.

Even in chaos, there is order . . .
Got unpredictable?
There is predictability and security within that.
Trust in the infinite field of solutions and let go of it.
Resolution is on its way – perhaps when you are no longer looking.

Full Moon on Friday the 13th – a bloody good time to honor Sacred Feminine
energies and weave them into our daily walk.

Coming soon, Summer Solstice brings light of masculine yang to its peak.
A good time for manifestation of spirited energies to break out.

As we move further into the Aquarian New Age.
Flock with birds of like-minded feathers
O’er mountain-tops, in the heart of a community or other natural
power centers for New World congregation.

Access and acquire Heron’s medicine
to capitalize on free-flowing energies that are frequently missed opportunities.

Navigating Directional Challenges with Hummingbird

Awakening our flowering consciousness . . .
Relaxing internal tension of opposites by
humming spiritual high notes –
Heavenly music to our ears.

Being open-hearted has a positive cumulative effect –
palatable to tasting Life’s sweet nectar.

Got ugly? Are you hovering o’er harmonic discord?
Strumming to the tune hummingbird
Helps us fly away . . .

When speaking of the prophetic return of the animals
and disappearance of white people –
We are talking about a metaphorical
shedding of our old dead skins . . .

A Great Awakening, levitation and illumination in consciousness . . .

Finding our inner joy is outward sunlight expansion into our
world for others to enjoy in material realm.
Getting stuck in the mud of bad moods
pollute our inner and community gardens.

In this place?

Picture a hummingbird and drink in its medicine for a spell . . .
Perhaps your cup will be full from
directionally darting toward feeling mystically well.
Flitting away from waning Full Moon and Spring Equinox –
Toward the Summer Solstice.

Release caged in judgments and set them free with relaxing energy.
Opening up our heart-centered joyful experiences of
Magic in our politics of living.

Surrendering to the Sweetness of What Is – Bitter as it might taste

Might we look at our experiences of yesteryear as past lives? Aren’t we humans supposed to evolve – in that we venture into and move through common developmental stages in Life? Yet our growth does not always feel graceful and is often not without pain. Yes we are shaped by our past. But we need not be defined by it. Have any of your past selves been good at reacting to what is? It can be such a challenge to sit with the present moment and deal with unwanted and uncomfortable feelings, such as guilt and shame. Do you try to bypass these feelings by exiting with aggression or denial? Tempting as avoidance is, taking an authentic look at our souls with a reflective lens and sitting with that is empowering. Getting out in Nature helps rekindle the fire within. When I noticed the rabbit tracks in the snow the other day, I wondered how far the rabbit hole do I want to go? I can’t help but remember our ancestral connection to the lunar cycle and the ebbs and flows of the tides. Can you feel the crocuses wanting to wake up and show us that Spring is just around the corner to the light of day? A Full Moon on March 16th symbolizes completion and celebration. Are we building a global community in the spirit of honoring one another’s gifts by sharing resources? These politics of living help us move into a New Age and Paradigm more gracefully. In our husbandry, we experience labor pains. It’s how we move with our Mother’s labor pains that matters most.

During this Pisces time of year, we are leaving behind Winter and welcoming Spring. It is a good time of year to let go of the ghosts of yesterday. Our relationships with others give us opportunities to get to know ourselves, in rank and beauty, on a deeper level. Like seasons, relationships come and go. But their energy remains with us until we learn the lessons we need to learn. In that, we experience both literal and figurative deaths, divorces and separations. Sometimes it’s like two planets come together in orbit for a while and then change their trajectory and drift apart. We have relationships with everything – habits, food, drink, substances, our developmental stages in life, a psychological trait, a significant other, the stock exchange, class, a pet, books, etc. When a relationship shows us something we do not want to see, it is easier to have the wool pulled over us and get caught up in the illusion of separation.  But we are not separate.  Even that homeless person on the street, in a mental institution or on death row is part of our being. And they are worthy of a silent blessing. When we remember to have compassion for the triggers and defenses of others, we help them lower their guard to have meaningful exchanges. Seek first to understand, then be understood. Water is a powerful elemental force that builds its momentum gradually. It has a cleansing effect on our consciousness. This is a good time of year to meditate on water. In that process, try to go with the flow rather than swim upstream.

We The People

“American people are the new Indians of the 21st Century.”
Privately squatted by the Empire’s Powers that Be
Profiting off the backs of workaholism is modern slavery.
Smells of imperial tyranny . . .

Service is a carrot of payment back in kind
Rabbit in me says lettuce hit rewind
May our souls carry a heavy burden of past incarnations?
Inspiration to rework our issues through gradual confrontational self-reflection
Loosens up our entanglement with form,
while lightening up our emotional reactions

We have the right to remain silent
To hear stillness speaking spiritually
Might we consider it culturally?
And yet singing songs of freedom vocally!

Honesty and gentleness in relationship
facilitates a mutual understanding
Allowing our inner voices to come outside and play
Giving birth to our creative power

Taking pleasure in our daily list clears space for awakened doings
Cleansing the doors of perception cultivates peace of mind
Being positive hits our internal reset buttons

We are all psychics – from empathic connections
To anticipating rush hour commutes
(and) taking alternative routes
Staying grounded while becoming aware that we aware
Sometimes the logical mind does not compute . . .

Making paradoxical friends with wanting more and having everything we need
Crow medicine shows us everyday “magic in the mundane”
Transmutes ordinary moments into extraordinary Polaroids
Weaving in creativity into our mental lists

Infusing perceptual shifts of spiritual energy
A ray of light shining on in our shared world of form
Recapture a little of the glory of
through the mind-set of a child
carrying a light-hearted air

You have a right to be serious and uptight
but that gravitational pull can be a downer
Especially in a hurried shower . . .

In our travels, remember our rituals and routines
in tote with items of power

Tell me Syngenta, Bayer, Monsanto and Donagrosciences . . .
How does a bee reach Nirvana with neonicotinoid-insecticides?

Two hawks fly by on Valentine’s Day
An embodied omen that spirited physical movement cultivates fluidity
Viewing new vistas during our Earth Walkabout
Pushing our edges and trimming our borders
Being an active participant in the Life’s theater

Gently letting anxiety and waning Full Moon pass with care
to Occupy an inner peace World’s Fair

The Ressurection of Groundhog and Feeling Seeds Underground Waking Us Up

Groundhog reveals chiaroscuro
Shadowy death without dying in winter’s Dreamtime
Digging into Quantum shadowy unknown Twilight Zones
Closer to springtime

Surfing tidal waves of possibility
O’er a rainbow of spontaneity
Down yonder golden halo light of day

Yet with Mercury in Retrograde
We can dig on confronting our self-imposed limits
By accessing sensible, realistic pragmatism
While effectively reworking busyness in our business

Be careful of unintended consequences before diving into commitments
Self defense against burnout, compassion fatigue and spreading yourself thin

Money is energy and part of abundance
With positive or negative values attached to its manifestation
Like overfishing leads to swimming upstream
Does a forthcoming economic tailspin
Plunge us into a more equitable and sustainable unfolding Golden Age?

Imagine justice on Earth without a fight
If corporations are people too, then shouldn’t this process be more organic?

Remembering compassion toward others is empowering toward thyself
Designating a sacred space facilitates believing in yourself – Faith and Trust
“I can breathe here. I can relax here. I know I am safe here.”

Think before you speak while
Having a non-confrontational conversation with present moment

In stillness of winter
Can’t you hear the seeds underground thinking about waking up?
Waxing light ignites pregnant energies
Stoking the flames of rebirth
“It is in the still darkness of the void that the light is born.”

But birth is not without labor pains . . .
(Monsanto Genetic Engineering to repel Agent Orange?)
C’Mon Man!
Feeling restless, irritable and depressed?

Thank You goddess Brighid for wishing us mystically well
How do you like them apples?

Intuitive heart-minds assert that we are a healthy weight when listening
to our bodily signs singing songs about our buoyancy and agility

This Friday I’m in Love with a Full Moon
Won’t you join me in its becoming?

Remembering Past Family Members

Humanity is grieving the loss of Nelson Mandela – one of our great fraternity brothers on the forefront of our movement into a flowering New Age. It is hard to say good-bye to our loved ones that have passed on. In the letting-go, I am grateful for his energy and look forward to his spirit breaking out and shedding even more light on our Planet and Universe. Sadly, society is frequently put in the position of taking away freedom from those who cannot handle it. But for some free thinking individuals like brother Mandela, he was unjustly crucified for decades for breaking the rules by doing the right thing as a freedom fighter. I particularly appreciate his understanding that regardless of what was taken from him, he refused to allow his soulful attitude to be stolen. Regardless of how small his jail cell, he knew he was in charge of his attitude about the cards he was dealt. Part of being human is to indulge in a little self-pity once in a while. However, too much self-possession sneaks us into the portal of a Martyr. Did he not have the patience of Turtle while he walked this Earth? But like any enlightened Being or good role model, our task is to emulate the experience of inner peace rather than being seduced into the dogma of putting our guru onto a pedestal. Part of being human is learning to honor our imperfections. Otherwise, unwelcome disappointments will overwhelm our souls like a flash flood.

In much the same way as Gandhi, Nelson Mandela lead the cavalry by stampeding the institutional segregation system known around the globe as Apartheid. Isn’t it interesting that phonetically, Apartheid is pronounced as “apart hate”. Around Kindergarten, we learn to make judgments about our differences from one another as inferior or superior – My skin tone is different from that other kid, so that must mean that I am either better or worse and perhaps justified in hating him or her for that, goes the indoctrinated and typically unconscious belief system. It is a learned behavior. Our old world has not let go of this kind of programming just yet – although there is a burning desire to do so. Can you feel the Earth’s anger at that? Mandela’s death synchronizes with our dying old world of the perceived polarity of separation of “us” and “them”, heroes and villains, friends and enemies. Awareness reveals the yin and yang are always dancing with one another. Within our Being, we have the opportunity to look upon this sensuous feminine and masculine tango as energetic soul mates showing one another a mirror that reflects back parts of our greater whole – diverse expressions within our Unity. Where the sunlight dominates, the dark night is merely kneeling beneath her bounty. While poly amorous encounters might provide short-term extroverted happy endings – flirting with more introverted lovemaking probably leads to clearer forecasts and less dark and stormy weather down yonder.

While taking communion with the Full Moon and Winter Solstice coming up, we look forward to the light increasing thereafter. The reptilian-brain position of viewing ourselves as separate and disconnected from one another embodies a developmentally delayed way of looking at our world. While this dirge is a real position, it is not the position. Those of us that stay in that place have become comfortably numb with this familiar funeral parlor. You could even say it feels safe, even though it is a traumatic place to live. Our future plight as a human family, global and Universally Eco-sensitive community rests on learning to emulate the likes of Nelson Mandela and others that walk in “the Way, the Light and the Truth”. We all need to bring in more inner peace into our world. We all need a sense of security and belonging. At the end of the day, inner peace will only come from within – even though it abounds without.

Wishing You Infinite Inner Peace,

Ari

Standing On The Doorstep of Infinity

We stand at the doorstep of Infinity . . .
Massive change is coming our way

A Full-Moon on Sunday . . .
Trailed by a Comet in its waning wake

Giddy-Up toward the darkest hour on the Winter Solstice . . .
Coaxing back the Light in the dark of the Night

Releasing egoic entanglements with form . . .
Spirited energies realigning who we are

Rising tides of oceanic waves flooding our sea of consciousness . . .
Slumbering sheeple waking up from napping while under the influence of conditioning

I’m sitting at the dock of the bay in my meditation space . . .
Theta state in my green lantern heart space

Feeling waters of empathy bubbling up wells of Love . . .
Illuminating my soul

O darkness of yin . . .
Light a moonshadow o’er my inner landscape

I’m checking out energetic pulsations of neurotransmitters traveling through my bodily pathways . . .
Portals to consciousness are they

Universal Spirits In A Material World

The weather underground is akin to the air up there
A Full Moon and Comet are coming soon to a theatre near you

What do we do?
Well it’s up to you . . .

Surfing the energetic waves rolling into the bay of emotional tides . . .
Do you bear witness to a fading Twilight Zone curtain?
(With or without the applications of technology)

An Empire burns while the Cosmic Chakra Wheel in the Sky turns . . .

Peace in the Middle East
Peace in the Americas
Peace in Africa, China, Tibet and Planet throughout

We are the Dali Llama
We are Malcolm X
We are Universal spirits in a material world

Healing our polarity consciousness
Integrating our Yin-Yang soulful feminine Moon and masculine Sun
Tunneling inward into the dark toward the Winter Solstice

And from the ashes a Phoenix Rises –
Clearing dust settles with meditation as shelter from the storm

Leave it to Beaver

Beaver represents productiveness and the construction of dreams. With Beaver, we are reminded of the power of community as captured by the old African proverb “it takes a village.” As industrious as they are, beavers help us remember that the dams of life are built “one twig at a time”. Building a dream of home and family is one of the more popular dreams, thus the expression “American Dream”. But manifesting this dream takes action and it is a process. Beavers reflect to us the experience of residing in a close-knit family network and mating with a partner for life. Manifesting our dreams is a co-creative group process that breathes life into a harmonic convergence of the highest fraternal order. In this sorority, everyone contributes by harnessing everyone’s strengths. Although we are a diverse group of sentient beings, we are all Universal children of Great Spirit. We all share a primal knowing in our spirits to freely express our souls to compete and cooperate for mutual aid. Beavers work and play together, reflecting to us the possibility of mixing business and pleasure. While one beaver gnaws, another keeps watch. Have you ever felt a chord struck in your soul from a beaver’s playful thump on a river bend?

Legend tells us that Beaver was a totem for the mystical order of Freemasons. As such, beavers reveal effective navigation of land and water worlds with secret tunnels and alternative escape routes within their home environment. “If we eliminate our alternatives, we dam the flow of experience into our lives.” How many industrious workers in landscape architecture, design and masonry have Beaver totems? Perhaps it’s pie in the sky to entertain the possibility of humans living like beavers in harmony with our environment. As intelligent as we are, if a Beaver can do it, then why can’t we? Beaver politics feature selective tree-cutting, providing us a glimpse into eco-sensitive development and farming in that they allow for growing brush that feeds deer and moose. Moreover, residual dams wash out and leave organically rich soil for human farming. Accessing the Beaver within will help us stay in alignment with Nature in an organic way that moves more gracefully with Climate Change. If only our World’s movers and shakers would emulate this awareness and bring more Beaver energy into our global geo-politics. When we are in alignment with Nature, we don’t need to kill with polluting pesticides and insecticides. Business can thrive, but businesses of chemical dust are allowed to rust in peace and maybe become compost for a New Age. Given that we are living in a consumer-driven world, labeling our foods simply empowers consumers to make more conscious choices. Many folks will make healthier choices when it is convenient and self-evident. Awareness is key. In that light, there is a Full “Buck” Moon on Monday, July 22.

Good works are good for the goose and good for the gander, as Beavers know. Even construction engineers are inundated by Beaver’s productivity. Have you ever wondered how many dentists would like to sink their teeth into Beaver’s knowledge of proper dental hygiene? Just imagine what those razor-sharp teeth could do to a predator. But beavers don’t abuse their power when standing their ground. Humanity could stand to learn from Beaver in this area. Violence is big business in our modern world, especially in America with the escalation of dangerous weapons on the street. When will we wake up to the awareness that more folks packing heat increases the likelihood of violence and tragedy? Shooting from the hip first and asking questions second is a receipt for disaster. I know many are hurting about the outcome of the Trayvon Martin court decision and of course his grieving family by his life cut short. We have much Karma to clear when it comes to issues of class and race. We also see the accumulation of negative Karma with respect to George Zimmerman. What kind of life does he now have to live? Even if he had been convicted, would a Higher spiritual form of justice been served?

Have you been neglecting your most basic dreams? Are your dreams in need of some repair work? Are you or others around you becoming too lost in their dreams-always dreaming and never acting on those dreams? Is your home in need of repair? Meditation on Beaver helps us take action in bringing our dreams into the material realm by tapping into their traits of accomplishment, practicality and creativity.
