A Song About A Mother And Son’s Sacred Spiritual Conversational Connection

Wise Fool is song that I wrote several years ago. It was inspired by an old poem written by my mom many moons ago, during one of her psychiatric hospitalization’s from one of her severe bouts of depression. What evolved from her poem is a spirited conversation that arrived out of meditative experiences in the dreamtime. This song is also inspired by the spiritual energy of Coyote, aka the “trickster”, which generally symbolizes the balance of wisdom and folly. Some of my old friends used to call one of my “signature” facial expressions, “the grin”, which reveals this part of my personality. Today, I look at Coyote, and my mom’s Spirit as part of my Spiritual Light Team, which I activate everyday, prior to an early morning intentional prayerful-meditation. I do this by simply saying, “Activate Spiritual Light Team.” And then I typically follow this by saying, “We ask God Directly (Creator/Great Spirit/Universe/Higher Self), and the Archangel’s of the Highest Order, to help Us awaken Our Multidimensionality, walk in alignment with the Universal pillars of Love and Truth, becoming the change We want to see in the world, through the gateway of Inner Peace, one step, one foot, one breath at a time. And for all Your love, support, and guidance along the way, We thank You, We thank You, We thank You. Amen).” Remember that even in darkness, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Wise Fool

Alone in a place no one can see.
Sit fools spinning dreams of who they might be.
Images and colors flickering, remain undefined.
Serving only to remind.

Are your feelings pulling at you tauntingly?
Smoldering beneath the surface cautiously.
Does your frigid exterior got your smile frozen?
Clinging tentatively to distorted visions
.

Like a vampire bite, dark emotions carry venom.
Attaching blame when I become a victim.
Feeding off the energy of another.
God help me, for I’m a psychic blood sucker.

Are your feelings pulling at you tauntingly?
Smoldering beneath the surface cautiously.
Does your frigid exterior got your smile frozen?
Clinging tentatively to distorted visions
.

Groundhog Day and I’m dead again.
A fleeting shadow is there no end?
Searching for an exit, fools eyes find none.
Until I awaken and see we are one!

Wishing you all wellness & inner peace!

Slithering Into Another Full Buck Moon With Snake Medicine

A Full Moon arrives in our consciousness today.

As always, Father Sky reveals orderly cycles in the heavens,
in much the same way as Mother Earth does with seasons down here on Earth.

But like the seasons, we are not without
changing latitudes and attitudes.

Like when a Deer begins to rut this time of year . . .

To wit:

Or whether or not a manic stock market appreciates
how many points a buck has or the alchemy behind the
nightmare that we see playing out on the surface of the planet.

Even with the advanced intellect behind algorithms and
fancy nanotechnological advances:

You can’t forget about human rights, and the general welfare of all sentient beings.

But you already know not to demonize demons.

Remember that Deer symbolizes the spiritual power to dissolve the monster of fear.

This happens via a strong gentle gaze that awakens
the mythical quest that invites us to connect with Great Spirit.

The sacred union of Snake reflects transformation.

We are all vulnerable to the poisionous toxins in our world.
But remember that in the venom, there is a healing tonic.

Even if you have fallen off the wagon wheel, you
can still get back the eye the tiger with the magic of Crow.

Try not to become seduced by your fears – regardless of how real
you believe them to be, or proof or evidence you have to back them up
and make convincing arguments accordingly.

Heaven and Earth are meant to be in a collaborative relationship.

They are competing together for mutual-aid, rather than against one another.

You can’t have the yang of brotherly order,
without the yin of sisterly chaos.

Nature’s theater of cosmic sibling rivalry is shown
on the screen of a silver lining.

When I think about our ancestors that named this Full Moon after a male deer,
I can appreciate the point that predators and prey, like the yin and the yang
show us the cycle of life.

We humans did not weave the web of life –
we are strands in the web, and our actions have a ripple effect on
the multidimensionality of our experiences.

Put that in your peace pipe and smoke it,
and drink it in your meditative tonic of healthy choice.

Is it a coincidence that our planet has been attracting more attention
from other dimensions since the splitting of the atom, and then the
decision to weaponize this technology?

The reason history tends to repeat itself is due to
the density of the habituated mind.

Destiny only exists when we are unconscious of it.

Isn’t it nice to wake up to a mindful awareness?

Traditions might be time-tested, but not without novelty
and creative outlets.

But if we can learn from the sweet and satisfying souldful dance step
of Grandfather Sun and Grandmother Moon, then we can deepen
our understanding of balancing ritual with sacred meaning.

Otherwise, we just become ensconced in our robotic doings.

We all need a sense of safety and security.

But not at the expense of sacrificing freedom and liberty.

Getting swayed too far in either direction leads to a chemical imbalance
and hard times on the self.

Be gentle on yourselves peeps.

May The Snow Scowls Of Today Bring Pink Hues To Your Spirts On The Next Full Moon

April is here, and it appeared that we were in full spring ahead here in Maine.

But that might be easy to forget with some new snow on the ground today –
only days after a fiery New Aries Moon a few days ago.

And yet, in the 45 years I’ve been on the Planet,
living in places like the Midwest and New England, I know the transition from
Winter to Spring doesn’t typically happen overnight.

Nor is it easy to welcome the less desirable, and dirtier weather of Spring.

Also, it’s common for people to forget that we’re not out of the woods,
and it can be hard on folks to not get bogged down or stuck in the mud.

Even if you don’t like Winter, or have had enough of a dying season that’s
fading into the backdrop, grieving feelings do naturally
rise to the surface – sometimes unexpectedly.

But like the classic Dead song, Box of Rain –
April has a cleansing effect on our souls,
and is a good time of year for purging, and purification.

They weren’t my preferred band to follow. But I respect how the politics
of their music delved into the ambiguity of life.

Let’s face facts . . . Like the seasons, life is transitory, and not
without its unexpected tragic moments.

In one breath, you have a healthy pet or a loved one who has been your rock.
And then, seemingly out of nowhere, the lord of death takes them away.

The feelings that come up in those dark edges are not easy to sit with.

Do you remember the old saying about April showers bring May flowers?
This also true for us on the inside, energetically speaking.

We might as well say yes to Nature’s way of reflecting that back to us.
Of course resisting the weather only brings in more suffering.

Have you heard the peepers singing in the wetlands?
Frogs are good medicine for meditation at this time of year.

Our ancestors told stories about how Frog sang songs that called on the rains
to wash away the dirty energies that leave us feeling stagnant in life.

It is also a good time to be mindful of boundaries in relationship.

You can picture a frog to help you assert yourself,
and stand in your own personal authority,
or even just telling those ribbeting racing thoughts to stop!

April, movement into a New Aquarian age, and in walking
a spiritual path in life isn’t all about sunshine and rainbows.

We need to remember that dark skies, and thunderclouds roll in before
the colorful prisms of light that bring up the more sunny side up feelings.

And sometimes, it feels yucky to see the shadows that you forgot were there,
but are now springing to the surface of your consciousness.

It’s like when you feel lost and alone in the dark, and then you remember to
find a silver lining, and see brighter spirits as being on their way.

Springing Spirits and Grounded Footprints

I foresee a day
when humanity passes
our technology
But we live in a time of
performance enhancers and

nano/biotech
boomtown lab rats dominate
the human factor

Perhaps robots and
cyborgs might lead us back to
A time when we take
back the days of our lives and
the dreams of our night visions

You can take a red
pill or a white capsule to
unplug from or stay

connected to the
hypnotic trance like state of
the matrix boxes
or you can awaken from
slumbering eyes wide shut now

It is your sovereign
right to choose the pillars of
love and truth to light

your way through the dark
night of the soul that you may
face during your life
quest. The duality of
freewill is a blessing and

a curse. Energy
is energy. It’s what you
do with it that counts.

Here is a newish documentary on the cultural/historical context of UFO phenomena since the Roswell incident in 1947.

Leaving Behind Winter, and Making Budding Friends with Spring

Chickadee sings songs
of Spring arriving right now
Vernal Equinox
and a Full Worm Moon unearths
Takes root on Wednesday March 20

Crows show their magic
chasing away hawks from nests
to protect their young

Male and Feminine
Energies are dancing in
transgender fashion
Father Sky and Mother Earth
commingle in alignment

May truth speak to you
with an approach that is soft
and a gentle voice

Nature reflects light
and darkness in equal ways
Sunlight grows stronger
till climaxing on Summer
Solstice after long Winter

We feel drunk from sun-
beams that awaken magic
of the moment, and
give pause for the arrival
of transitory sweetness

And then let them go
with a playful, light-hearted
sense of detachment

Do you hear the birds
chirping gleefully on days
some more than others
Grieving wintry remnants
Welcoming warmer weather?

Sunshine and rainbows
feels inebriating to the
soul’s sun tao and zen

Till next week peeps,

Climbing Down the Mountain, into the Lion’s Den of our Souls

The Winter Solstice arrives on December 21st,
signaling the darkest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere

A Full Cold Moon follows in its wake on the day after that.

Spirits can run high and naturally crouch low this time of year . . .

Might as well allow these tension of opposites
flow in your being without getting too swayed in either direction.

Another astrological eclipse season is coming shortly after
the birth of the Gregorian New Year in early January.

The Chinese New Year of the Pig rolls in on February 5, 2019

More winds of change are in the air

Do you see the parallels between President Hoover
and the stock market crash of 1929 and today’s plummeting capital?

Consider these changing tides a newer redistribution
of wealth and financial appreciation for the many!

What about the parallels between President Nixon,
Watergate and President Trump and “Russiangate?”

Underneath these time traveling synchronicities is
a growing remember when tune to “power to the people”

The darkness of feminine energies is rising,
as is further movement into a new Aquarian Age Consciousness.

As always, picture peaceful, calming thoughts,
and be gentle on yourself.

At the same time, do what you can to make the world a better place.
But remember to do so with love in your heart.

If you find yourself being seduced by hate,
be mindful to exhale this dead energy,
and let it go to so that it can transform into the light of the Universe.

In this dark time of year, think about the resurrection of the light

He rises everyday day till Spring arrives on the Vernal Equinox in March,
and then the sunlight grows stronger every day after that
until He peaks on the Summer Solstice in June

Till we tweet again peeps,

Having An Attitude of Gratitude

I heard someone say recently that the holidays are whatever you make of them.
Isn’t that true about everyday life?

In America, we are moving further into the season know as the holidays.
This time of year serves up mixed feelings for our culture,
which reflects the sign of the tumultuous times
we are living in on the planet at large.

And there are is a deeper and higher multidimensional Universe at play,
a vibration we have always been a part of – a reality more of us are waking up to.

More people are opening their eyes to the sacred ways of Nature,
yet others are walking around with eyes wide shut.
Still, others are losing their minds, checking out,
killing themselves or killing others.

In the pain and suffering, there is great tragedy

We in the modern Western world have been conditioned to destroy.
Just look at the medical model, and the Military-Industrial Complex.

But awakening to our “better angels”,
allows us to use our shadow sides as spirit guides to move through the darkness
so that we can move through the gateways of transformation.

This is a guiding light

You might think to yourself that “getting older sucks”,
and be seduced by the temptation to glorify youth culture,
and look on the good old days through the lens of nostalgia.

We are like the seasons, and we go through changes accordingly.
As such, Old Man Winter has shown himself by bringing us snow.

We have officially crossed the mid-point between the Autumn equinox,
and are moving closer to the darkest day of the year on the Winter solstice.

But that gives us an opportunity to look forward to our days getting a little longer,
and filling our hearts with a little more light everyday until the Vernal equinox in March,
when light and dark energies will be equal again.

Or maybe you’re hard on yourself about your transgressions,
or about how you’ve hurt others. With the holidays coming,
a Full Moon on its way, and Mercury in retrograde, the temptation to focus
on getting depressed about the past or anxious about the future grows.

But if you consciously meditate on the spiritual energy of Turkey,
then you can awaken your spiritual eyes to see abundance all around you,
and stuff yourself with an attitude of gratitude in your heart for the shared blessings that exist today,
and everyday really. And if you find your energy field depleted or consumed
by the energy of others, you can picture a turkey to help you ward of those negative energies.

Stay grounded, and connect to the roots of the Earth.
Drink lots of water, eat whole foots, and exercise in a way that you “don’t sweat the small stuff.”
Be gentle on yourself, look for the silver lining, and make positive interpretations.
Leave it to a Full Beaver Moon to give you the industry you need to design
new internal structures inside yourself to give you the
spiritual power you need to rise up to the challenges that you face.

Beaver can help you find alternative pathways that you might not have even known were there.
Then, if you notice a new way of doing something, give that more of your attention.
Novelty is good, but repetition can be a good thing too.

Old habits may die-hard.

But new ways of doing things are ready to spring forth!

A New Moon, Election, and Vision to see Transformation Ahead

I remember hearing an amazing story recently,
about a hawk swooping out of the sky,
and then unexpectedly offering a freshly killed snake,
as a surprise gift along the path of a startled traveler . . .

Given that Hawk symbolizes the power of observation,
we are invited to see what messages are being sent to us from Spirit . . .

What does Snake have to say to you about the power
of fire that burns within our soul?

Election Day swoops in tomorrow,
along with a New Moon on Wednesday . . .

The winds of change are swirling around in the air!

Hawk has connections with New Moons,
and Mercury . . .

And at the tail end of next week, we will be revisited by
Mercury in Retrograde again.

Many people experience spacing out more at that time, or feel like
they are walking in a Twilight Zone kind of reality.

But Mercury in Retrograde is also a good time to look at things
in a different light, venture deeper into the dark,
and give rise to a new moon shine through a wider angle lens.

Of course New Moons are always associated
with new beginnings . . .

Our ancestors believed that the wall between the
spirit and material realms relaxed at this time of year,
making it easier for our different worlds to intersect.

If you magnify that with the energies streaming in right now,
it might be tempting to get sucked into your fears,
and find yourself coming from places of hate . . .

But try to trust in the Universe, and its vibration of
Love and Truth to light our way together, as we
move further into a new connections.

It is a good time to meditate on letting go of old ways, old boxes,
shedding the conditioning of our old skins,
so that we can awaken to new,
more porous ways of being at this time.

Snake reflects metamorphosis . . .
Yesterdays shadows want to transform into the light of healing

Perhaps you venture down into a snake hole in your consciousness,
and see how you can come up with new eyes to look at
your past fears in a fresh way . . .

Emotions are waxing now, and will be further amplified
by a Full Beaver Moon on November 23rd.

Beavers are epic builders, and like to get their work done
before swamps freeze for the Winter . . .

I think about how many of our Founding Fathers were Freemasons,
and that their animal totems empowered them to create in a new industry,
while building a New World back then.

Perhaps this could be an invitation into the realm of Temperance
regarding anger about their ignorance of their injustices at that time,
in spite of the Divine expression that manifested as the Constitution.

But consider that people didn’t even know that
dinosaurs existed on this planet
at the time when this sacred document was written.

What is looked upon as conventional science today,
can easily become yesterday’s dinosaur!

The will of the people are speaking up.
We might as well hear the messages that are being spoken!

Today, we are waking up again to new perspectives,
frontiers, and ways of being together.

Till we tweet again peeps,

Letting go of old selves, masks, and ways of of being

A Full Hunter Moon arrives on October 24th,
and then comes the traditional Samhain on Halloween

These events, along with this time of year,
and the energy of Bat awakens
a symbolic metaphorical death of the old self.

Do you see the veils thinning between
the spirit realm and our material world?

The line between realms is less concrete right now –
Giving us a clearer remembering that
even in death, there is also rebirth.

Our past lives are meant to awaken our soul’s evolution,
and help us expand beyond what we were.
Bat guides us through the dark night of the
soul so that we can hear the
spiritual callback of metamorphosis,
and who we are becoming.

Our ancestors celebrated the Samhain —
the approximate halfway point between the
Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice.

When ancient Romans bobbed for apples,
they believed that the first person to successfully retrieve an apple,
would be the first to marry in the new year.

One way to look at letting go of old selves, masks,
and ways of being would be to
divorce yourself from the ways that no longer
serve you in your consciousness.

Look beyond your habituated mind . . .

What is underneath your robotic doings of
your everyday routine?

Is there something new that
your soul would like to express?

In much the same way as Rome wasn’t built-in a day,
A New Earth doesn’t happen overnight either.
As we head further into waning light, and darker days,
we have an opportunity to turn yin-ward,
and plant the seeds into our souls that we
want to see come out into the sunlight in spring.

A new marriage happens between masculine and feminine
energies around the Vernal Equinox in March.

But before that, we will start to coax back
the light after the darkest
day of the year on the Winter Solstice.

Remember the mantra that energy is energy . . .
It’s what you do with it that counts.
It is perfectly natural to feel more tired,
experience darker emotions, need more rest,
journal more, have more active lucid dreams at night,
and be revisited by the ghosts of yesteryear,
and maybe even past regrets.

But don’t get stuck in beating yourself up about it.
Remember to be gentle on yourself.
Being hard on yourself might feed your ego,
but it only hurts your soul.

Is there a spirit of a new way of being with yourself
that wants to come alive in your consciousness?

When we make a conscious choice to come down into our souls,
and dig into the hidden nooks and crannies, then
it is possible to look upon whatever it is that you see
with a heartfelt, gentle gaze of compassion.
It is possible to learn to love
all aspects of yourself, even if it seems daunting.

Some people think you have to kill your ego, or even bury a lifetime
to release your demons. But that isn’t really the case.

The ghosts of the habituated mind
can illuminate a new way of living with awareness

Look in the mirror of your mind,
call on the spirits of the season,
and use the energies of this time of year
to let go of your old selves, masks, and past ways of being that you
want to release, and send them out into the Universe.

Till we tweet again peeps,

Remembering When Spirit Matters

After my grandfather left this Earth recently, I’ve been thinking about my mother,
and grandmothers, whose souls departed our planet many moons ago.

Speaking frankly, my primary caretakers are gone with the wind . . .

And yet they will always be with me,
just as yours that have passed on are with you.

This is a sobering experience,
and not without feelings of grief, sadness, and loss.

Mercury in retrograde is a good time to revisit and reflect on past relationships.

You can also work with the intensities of summer eclipses that
bring back past experiences to the surface.

It can be hard not to wanderlust into an internal widespread panic,
with regards to your past fears or regrets . . .

But their spirits keep on streaming into our world . . .

They want to connect with us in spirit together,
and help us co-create Heaven on Earth.

Can you hear them wanting to help us lighten our load, and feel peace in our hearts?

What baggage are you ready to give back to them that was passed on to you?

Releasing what has weighed you down in this lifetime is a good karmic clearing.

We have all been handed down landfills
that need to be composted, mulched, and cleared.

Yeah, entanglement with form is natural for spirit,
till it leaves its mind-body connection . . .

It is also natural for it to feel free when it let’s go of the ties that bind.

Many of the children that I have worked with have lost their parents to
sudden deaths, such as drug overdoses, homelessness, incarceration, and are now
being raised by aging grandparents, extended family, or the foster care system.

We all need to keep working on love – by being in our hearts with one another,
even when tough love is called upon, do it with compassion.

It can be challenging to know how other people are going to feel
much later in life when their parents leave them behind.

It can bring up unexpected feelings of abandonment.

Regardless of your chronological age, it really doesn’t matter how old you are,
as the feelings you deal with are the same, like with our animal friend pets, etc.

We might process them differently, and we all grieve in our own ways.
But these feelings are universal, and they need to be supported, and processed.

I remember a High School teacher once sharing some wisdom that children
become adults when they wake up to the reality that their parents aren’t gods . . .

Rather they are human beings.

That bell of mindfulness resonated with me back zen,
and it rings true even more with me right tao.

I understand that many people get stuck in a vibration that looks like:

Clinging to a belief that you should hold tight to your loved ones, and
that your children should lean on you.

There is a voice that says that you deserve to suffer, and be driven by
guilt, shame, a generalized sense of duty, and sacrifice, feeling unworthy of
receiving from others, and being afraid of the mystery and adventure of life.

There is a hard-edged, nose to the grindstone security in that mind-set.
You might even feel empowered by trying to control everything in your life.

But it is a recipe for perpetual disappointment, let down, and unhappiness.
And it is difficult to Let Go and Let God in that vibration.

Consider shifting your mind-set into a receiving perspective,
of welcoming your goals and objectives as arriving, but without getting hung up
on the outcomes you desire or prefer . . .

Be open to receiving the abundant possibilities
that you might not have planned for!

Take in your experiences, whatever they are, and observe them as a
spiritual watcher of whatever events come up in your field of vision in real-time.

Till our next walking meditation,

Ari
