A New Libra Moon on October 6th reflects an energetic interplay between harmony and equilibrium. How do we walk in the center of the circle in the yin and yang of life? When I think of this New Moon, I think of Bat flitting about in the air but not without hanging on the rocks of the cave in the underworld. We need our air and our feet on the ground to walk the spiritual path. Not coincidentally, the recent Autumn Equinox in late September revealed perfect balance in Nature between light and dark energies, with further movement into the dark as we move yin-ward till the Winter Solstice in December.

In Ojibwe, the Full Moon on Wednesday, October 20th is called the Freezing Moon. There are many names associated with this Full Moon, but many of our ancestors called it the Hunter’s Moon because it signaled peak hunting season in preparation for the cold winter ahead. This month also features Civil Rights calendar highlights of Indigenous People’s Day on October 11, Learning Disabilities Awareness Month and LGBT History Month. Last month was National Hispanic Heritage Month.

Full Hunter Moon symbolizes a metaphorical death of the old self. Do you see the veils thinning between the spirit realm and our material world? Remember that with death, comes rebirth. Our past lives are meant to awaken our soul’s evolution, and impetus to expand beyond what we were. Bat guides us through the dark night of the soul so that we can hear the spiritual callback of metamorphosis, and who we are becoming. Our ancestors celebrated the Samhain — the approximate halfway point between the Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice.

Next time you feel afraid of the dark and want to run away from the shadows
Picture a Bat to hear the melodious wind chimes of spirit echoing back so that you can hang glide into your own power. How is who you were when you were littler, different than who you are today? How might you be different tomorrow or in the days ahead than you are right now?

Bats echo a ring tone of the metaphorical death of the old self

But hang in there folks  . . .

Like the changing leaves, Nature reflects a metamorphosis coming . . .

Our inner world is ripe for change, especially during these transitional times

Facing our fears head on is less scary

than avoiding situations based only on our fear-based projections

A Full Hunter’s Moon signals that it is time to hunt enough food

in remembrance of an old traditional preparation for winter storage

Do you see the veils falling back?

They are leaving behind the dirge of an old world

Spirited energies are hanging around our planetary consciousness –

Bursting at the seams to turn our world around right side-up!

Now is a good time for rebirth by looking at our world with fresh new eyes

Venture back your childhood innocence . . .

What unexplored caves of your hidden self are wanting to be discovered today?

What novel solutions are waiting for us to tap into

as we move through a purification process of releasing and healing old wounds

so that we can give birth to a parallel New Age?

Hear the echos of spirit whispering who we are becoming . . .

Commentary:

Like the seasons, the one constant in life is change. Bat symbolizes this awareness and can help you awaken to understanding that transformation and metamorphosis are real possibilities during your human experience as a spiritual being. Even in stagnation, the power for change is always possible. While our bodies die and we only exist once in this form, it is wise to entertain that our souls have experienced past lives and will rebirth into further lifetimes down the line. But regardless of whether or not you believe in Reincarnation, we all journey through many deaths and rebirths in this current life form. You are not the same person now as you were then. And you will not be the same person tomorrow as you are today. Every every single snowflake has something uniquely different in its expression, yet all are made mostly of water, just like we are. Water ebbs, flows and changes its trajectory just like we do. Sometimes personal and collective transformation comes on like a Tsunami and sometimes the process begins as a soliloquy before becoming a grand performance. Perhaps you remember a time in your life where you were just sort of hanging around daydreaming. And then you learned to stand with your feet firmly planted on the ground. But now you have learned to spread your winds and fly in a way that feels like you are hang gliding through life.

Take care of yourselves everyone,

Ari

Letting go of old selves, masks, and ways of of being

A Full Hunter Moon arrives on October 24th,
and then comes the traditional Samhain on Halloween

These events, along with this time of year,
and the energy of Bat awakens
a symbolic metaphorical death of the old self.

Do you see the veils thinning between
the spirit realm and our material world?

The line between realms is less concrete right now –
Giving us a clearer remembering that
even in death, there is also rebirth.

Our past lives are meant to awaken our soul’s evolution,
and help us expand beyond what we were.
Bat guides us through the dark night of the
soul so that we can hear the
spiritual callback of metamorphosis,
and who we are becoming.

Our ancestors celebrated the Samhain —
the approximate halfway point between the
Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice.

When ancient Romans bobbed for apples,
they believed that the first person to successfully retrieve an apple,
would be the first to marry in the new year.

One way to look at letting go of old selves, masks,
and ways of being would be to
divorce yourself from the ways that no longer
serve you in your consciousness.

Look beyond your habituated mind . . .

What is underneath your robotic doings of
your everyday routine?

Is there something new that
your soul would like to express?

In much the same way as Rome wasn’t built-in a day,
A New Earth doesn’t happen overnight either.
As we head further into waning light, and darker days,
we have an opportunity to turn yin-ward,
and plant the seeds into our souls that we
want to see come out into the sunlight in spring.

A new marriage happens between masculine and feminine
energies around the Vernal Equinox in March.

But before that, we will start to coax back
the light after the darkest
day of the year on the Winter Solstice.

Remember the mantra that energy is energy . . .
It’s what you do with it that counts.
It is perfectly natural to feel more tired,
experience darker emotions, need more rest,
journal more, have more active lucid dreams at night,
and be revisited by the ghosts of yesteryear,
and maybe even past regrets.

But don’t get stuck in beating yourself up about it.
Remember to be gentle on yourself.
Being hard on yourself might feed your ego,
but it only hurts your soul.

Is there a spirit of a new way of being with yourself
that wants to come alive in your consciousness?

When we make a conscious choice to come down into our souls,
and dig into the hidden nooks and crannies, then
it is possible to look upon whatever it is that you see
with a heartfelt, gentle gaze of compassion.
It is possible to learn to love
all aspects of yourself, even if it seems daunting.

Some people think you have to kill your ego, or even bury a lifetime
to release your demons. But that isn’t really the case.

The ghosts of the habituated mind
can illuminate a new way of living with awareness

Look in the mirror of your mind,
call on the spirits of the season,
and use the energies of this time of year
to let go of your old selves, masks, and past ways of being that you
want to release, and send them out into the Universe.

Till we tweet again peeps,

Hanging Upside Down with Bat

A New Moon arrives tomorrow
Reflecting new opportunities and beginnings

Bat’s energetic footprint is symbolic of metamorphosis and change
Colorful Autumn leaves are fading, falling and dying

A metaphorical death of the old self
Hangs on by a thread like the ways of a dying old world

Bat and New Moon hint at the rebirthing process
cross-pollinating the fruits of an Aquarian Age

Meditation on Rome, reveals Trump is like megalomania emperors of an old age
But the Eternal City wasn’t built in a day

Like overthrown dictators of past lives, his time is going to come

Out on the streets, civil disobedience inspires a rising tide
of waves of change that will inundate even the Buddha and Christ
from deeper and higher dimensions

Time to surrender to the will of the Universe
and let go of the pyramid and elitist rule by the few

Moving further into our mysterious feminine sides
awakens the power of water

Flow with the gentle, gradual and softness of yin’s momentum
Tis the season to turn our clocks back yinward

Use the energies of the New Moon and Bat
to release your old self that no longer serves you
and see yourself transforming into who you want to become

Till we meet again along the trails,

Ari

Hanging with Bat as a Spiritual Guide

Bat symbolizes a metaphorical death of the old self . . .
What black roots want to take root during Winter’s coming dirge?

Planet Earth and all of Her inhabitants are going through underground
transformation – as things heat up, c’est possible to make amigos with that?

A Full Hunter’s Moon gathers a thrill of the hunt perspective
Time to adjust spiritual preparatory flight zones to weather stormy wintry mixes

Other people’s opinions are not your business
Folks will have their own perspective, so don’t make enemies or fall prey to hatred

Will the Empire’s rule by secrecy approach paradoxically expose His new clothes?

Do we want to go to World War Three with each other over our cultural differences?
How low can we go in our vibrations, not without paradoxical paranoid escalation?

Might as well let go of what dies now . . .
Because It will be reborn in Spring again

Yeah, free spirits may be born to run . . .
But we can also benefit from standing still

Today’s falling leaves sometimes color a dark attitudes about waning light . . .
Consider lifting your spirits to take flight into internal shadowy caves ahead

A personal mutable metamorphosis awakens into our collective consciousness . . .
Deeper activation of acceptance beneath skin deep superficiality is personal power!

What can you adjust inside yourself to compost stale recycled repetitive tapes
that echo a big Skunk like stink about your Being?

Meditation on personal boundaries reveals a gentle and soft approach to
standing in your own personal authority by speaking your truth respectfully

Tuning in to Soulful Echos with Bat

Gazing through a lens of a shamanic death of old self
We look forward to a rebirth with fresh new perceptual eyes

Are you using your talents to the fullest?

Facing our fears – even in our darkest hours
Beneath the deep lies a beacon of light illuminating the shadows of our souls

Are you working your orientation in the positive?

Remember hanging upside down on playground equipment of yesteryear?
A return to childhood innocence
and hidden caverns of unexplored Self are born unto us

Letting go of old habitual patterns of thoughts, feelings and behavior
Is a funeral procession that leads to a surprise birthday parade of novelty

Are you letting your dreams pass you by?

We are responsible for the business of envisioning seven generations ahead because we are the ones we are waiting for

Remember when smallpox was intentionally distributed to our
Native American brothers and sisters?
Oh rats, what about the European black plague?
And today we are hearing about a bloody red scare named Ebola

But facing our fears head on is less scary in long run than
identification with “better the devil you know” programming

Be mindful to give peace a chance amidst fascist undertones
among friends that are typically liberal-minded otherwise
Religion is as religion does

May we remember that at their core,
religions are inspired by Divine expression
Flowering snowball effect rippling through our mass consciousness

Changing leaves are eclipsing us in the Autumn air
Old bedtime stories are falling back
Birthing into novel ways of co-authoring our world

Right now, even a soliloquy is becoming a grand performance
Embodying our dreams and visions opens portals to Universal awakenings

Hearing echos of good vibrations amplifies ring tones of optimistic thoughts

Taking a deep breath of cosmic vastness illuminates

empathic heartfelt connections with our expanding and retracting Nature

Leaving behind a playfully light-hearted
and healthy sense of detachment in our wake

Breathe in fresh air to levy floods of stress and tension

See you further on up the trails,

Ari

Personal Power

Personal power versus force (sensitivity) . . .
Dreams and desires manifesting . . .
Picture a bright golden sun in your solar plexus cuz it helps shed light on the darkness on the edge of town . . .

Doc Oz’s wizardry reveals we are what we eat in a Fast Food Nation . . .

Mercury in retrograde revisits past relationship dramas and sometimes Twilight Zoned out realities . . . But remember Spider’s medicine to walk the center of the circle without getting too tangled up in the web . . .

There is narcissism in becoming too self-absorbed in our emotions . . .
Green Heart-centered empathy helps us place others in the center and walk along their strands for a spell . . .

Making friends with our pain dissolves our suffering . . . On the cushion, we feel a new wave of energy come in rather than exiting with anger and denial . . .

Are you going to be a rock or water in this eternal moment? Remember to breathe and allow the waters of your soul smooth out the edgy areas.

An Andean shaman’s pipe dream high on the mountain . . . A few moments later a trigger happy ghost revisits my consciousness . . . it’s not raining out but I’m sleeping in a puddle . . . This collective old world nightmare is the death of us (the lunatic and Emperor’s New Clothes are in my head) . . .

An elderly woman behind the rearview mirror of privilege foolishly asserts to a younger filly a “conceal rather than reveal” mantra while oblivious to swinging the door wide open to the protective fortress (what lies beneath your unexamined self?) . . .

Past memories and future projections kill the living moment . . . Entanglements within the web of form blocks intimate pathways of internal communication systems that venture out along leaves of trees and fiber optic highways . . .

Re-working success by giving back Karmic baggage that is dumped on us from previous generations is the Phoenix Rising out of the ashes . . .

Being like water helps us navigate the rocks more gracefully . . .

I dig on seeing the birds flying into the portals of energetic imprints of fallen leaves . . . My ears to the ground with the aid of Bat echolocation . . . Did that angry red squirrel let go of a past turkey’s thievery?

Was Wonder Woman’s invisible jet a metaphor for the possibility of inner space Merkaba travels through cleansed doors of perception?

Being positive and choosing to focus on the silver lining enhances the soul self and everything else in a sweetly satisfying soulful harmonic convergence . . .
Like a Divine John Lennon watching the wheels of his Chakras going round and round cuz life is what happens when we are busy making other plans . . .

Waning light soon outta sight as darkness fades into night . . . Thinning veils awaken spirited conversations and close encounters that liven up dead zones of dark matter and illuminate the shadows coming out into the light during this Samhain.
