Embodying Paradox, Change & Humor In The Everyday Moments Of Life

“Instead of fighting the darkness, you bring in the light.”

–Eckhart Tolle

“In the end, bless the darkness, hold the light, because the two aren’t divisible.”

–S. Kelley Harrell

Now more than ever, our resiliency needs to show up in our everyday humanity.

We all have the capacity for resiliency.

Resiliency doesn’t come from having a charmed life, not having to deal with stress, nor facing obstacles that get in our way or living in a bubble.

Rather, it’s something that we cultivate, like building energy for better strength and conditioning.

In much the same way as the Taoist idea of Investing In Loss, imagine the darkness you face is like a ghost that you are playing with rather than fighting.

Just as an example, you might lose a game 99 times out of a hundred.

But if you lose 99 times and you are paying mindful attention about your partners moves, you can learn their tricks, and spring the trap to win the 100th game. Your mindset of losing shifted, like the saying, “if you had fun, then you won.”

That’s Investing In Loss in a nutshell.

Because you remained open, let go of perfectionism, and learned that it’s the process that matters along the way.

As you are shadow boxing in front of a mirror, imagine yourself awakening to shades of your hidden self.

Perhaps blind spots will be revealed when you allow the light to come in, and shine brightly on your soul.

Just as an example, do you remember learning how to ride a bike or how to swim?

Some of us never did learn how to do either for different reasons.

But most of us who did learn how to ride, and swim know that novel learning curves didn’t come without falling off our bikes or getting water up our nose.

Somehow, most of us made it through learning a sometimes painful new skill without losing a limb from the bike accident or drowning in the water.

And most of us got back on the bike, and back in the water without developing PTSD from falling or sinking.

So how do we allow ourselves to be mindful of the present moment in everyday life?

I remember an old High School teacher who recommended a book called The Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman, during my Senior year. I didn’t read the entire book till after I graduated from college. But I remained intrigued, and never stopped looking forward to reading it

In fact, the Peaceful Warrior message resonated so much that I read some more of Dan’s books after that, and then watched the film adaptation many years later, after it came out in 2006.

Check out the short video below that reinforces his mindful approach to life’s everyday moments:

May all beings be free from suffering, awaken to Inner Peace, and open up to the realm of Cosmic Consciousness,

Slithering into New Holes with Snake

A Full Buck Moon fades into the backdrop
Peak light on the Summer Solstice sets further away on the horizon . . .

Here in Maine, Governor Paul LePage and company
represent developmentally delayed politics

Currently, we witness a parallel process unfolding
in the presidential candidacy of overt bigot Donald Trump

Now back to business with the Clinton’s . . .
Did they really go anywhere?

The torch of a smoldering Bernie Sanders campaign
cannot be extinguished entirely

Because the political waves of social-democratic change is a rising tide
of a New Age consciousness that is still weathering labor pains

Venoms and poisons are toxic to our planet
Paradoxically, we all have an opportunity for personal transformation

May we rework success from an inside out perspective!

We are living in an era where
we are shedding dead skins from a passing old world

In that, an awakening New Earth is cross-pollinating

Don’t buy into the reptilian fear-based mental tapes
that saturate the public mind

Is an alternative vote for someone other than
the proverbial lesser of two evils really a wasted vote?

Or just an energetic vote that moves closer to love and further away from fear?

See the truth of oneness through the eyes of love, light and laughter . . .

See you further on up the trails,

Ari

Riding Out Summer Storms with Finch

Finch flies in along with a Full Buck Moon this week . . .

But just to amplify the growing heated points right now,
we are lured further into positive summery vibrations
with the gentle nature of Deer

True, subtle momentum of Yang might be slowing down
as darker energies have been moving Yinward since the Summer Solstice

Yet intensities and activity levels expand in conjunction with magical opportunities

Witness the old world and your old selves dying
while at the same time a new world and new selves are budding

Kind of like Butterfly . . .

It can be hard to sit with the darker emotions and darkness in our world today
We sit in the tension of crisis and opportunity

But the power of love is transformative
The calm of love relaxes nervous woodland creature energies

How will we co-author a new script for our one human family,
including all other energies that share our
multidimensional unfolding budding reality?

Time to dance to the beat of a soulful Tango . . .

Step outside of your comfort zone into the realm of diversity in unity:

“If you understand, all are one and the same;
If you do not understand, there are thousands of differences and distinctions.
If you do not understand, all are one and the same;
If you understand, there are thousands of differences and distinctions.”

We are living in changing times, where it is becoming more challenging
to bury our heads in the sands of denial

Let go of the viewpoint that we are all divided and separate,
because we are all cut from the same cloth

Make friends with the magical bird inside your being
Sunlight and dark nights all matter

There is God in letting go of judgments and allowing for forgiveness . . .

We all are a matter of spirit!

Spirit wants us to make friends with that!

Everything that you see outside of yourself is really within you

You might just need to search and find in your soul what you are looking for
Might as well do so from a position of curiosity, compassion and empathy

Move closer to love and further away from fear

See you up the trails,

Ari
