Remembering When Spirit Matters

After my grandfather left this Earth recently, I’ve been thinking about my mother,
and grandmothers, whose souls departed our planet many moons ago.

Speaking frankly, my primary caretakers are gone with the wind . . .

And yet they will always be with me,
just as yours that have passed on are with you.

This is a sobering experience,
and not without feelings of grief, sadness, and loss.

Mercury in retrograde is a good time to revisit and reflect on past relationships.

You can also work with the intensities of summer eclipses that
bring back past experiences to the surface.

It can be hard not to wanderlust into an internal widespread panic,
with regards to your past fears or regrets . . .

But their spirits keep on streaming into our world . . .

They want to connect with us in spirit together,
and help us co-create Heaven on Earth.

Can you hear them wanting to help us lighten our load, and feel peace in our hearts?

What baggage are you ready to give back to them that was passed on to you?

Releasing what has weighed you down in this lifetime is a good karmic clearing.

We have all been handed down landfills
that need to be composted, mulched, and cleared.

Yeah, entanglement with form is natural for spirit,
till it leaves its mind-body connection . . .

It is also natural for it to feel free when it let’s go of the ties that bind.

Many of the children that I have worked with have lost their parents to
sudden deaths, such as drug overdoses, homelessness, incarceration, and are now
being raised by aging grandparents, extended family, or the foster care system.

We all need to keep working on love – by being in our hearts with one another,
even when tough love is called upon, do it with compassion.

It can be challenging to know how other people are going to feel
much later in life when their parents leave them behind.

It can bring up unexpected feelings of abandonment.

Regardless of your chronological age, it really doesn’t matter how old you are,
as the feelings you deal with are the same, like with our animal friend pets, etc.

We might process them differently, and we all grieve in our own ways.
But these feelings are universal, and they need to be supported, and processed.

I remember a High School teacher once sharing some wisdom that children
become adults when they wake up to the reality that their parents aren’t gods . . .

Rather they are human beings.

That bell of mindfulness resonated with me back zen,
and it rings true even more with me right tao.

I understand that many people get stuck in a vibration that looks like:

Clinging to a belief that you should hold tight to your loved ones, and
that your children should lean on you.

There is a voice that says that you deserve to suffer, and be driven by
guilt, shame, a generalized sense of duty, and sacrifice, feeling unworthy of
receiving from others, and being afraid of the mystery and adventure of life.

There is a hard-edged, nose to the grindstone security in that mind-set.
You might even feel empowered by trying to control everything in your life.

But it is a recipe for perpetual disappointment, let down, and unhappiness.
And it is difficult to Let Go and Let God in that vibration.

Consider shifting your mind-set into a receiving perspective,
of welcoming your goals and objectives as arriving, but without getting hung up
on the outcomes you desire or prefer . . .

Be open to receiving the abundant possibilities
that you might not have planned for!

Take in your experiences, whatever they are, and observe them as a
spiritual watcher of whatever events come up in your field of vision in real-time.

Sitting with Bees

Sunlight reaches its peak on the summer solstice in later June . . .
At this junction Bee becomes more active
by shining Its sweetness across our planet

There are imperial deep pockets that fuel
commercially driven insecticides and pesticides
that sell us crime rhymes spitting that the only good bee is a dead one

But those of us that are in alignment with the pulse of our planet know better . . .

No bees, no flowers
How fragrant would that be?

But the dark side of a business-centric supremacist hive mentality
threatens their existence and our own by way of killer agents sprayed
on the fruited plains of our classroom know as Earth

What would we do without the fruits of their labor?
What would we do without healthy seeds in this Garden?

See honey as a metaphor for a natural elixir of
love, fertility, industry and sexuality

It takes a nation of remote-controlled drones to hold us back . . .

Working in masculine drones, bees epitomize a strong work ethic –
This active yang approach mirrors rising energetic sunlight

But Queens Bee rules the roost – so their habitat hints at a matriarchal society
Yet paradoxically their culture is a hierarchy

Turn yinward and look deeply into your feminine right brain self

We can learn interdependence from Bee
Realizing that fluid synergistic top-down and bottom up communication
is necessary for our survival during movement into a New Age

What’s the buzz about unisex bathrooms?
We are moving into more androgynous times
Abuses already happen in clearly segregated designations

Sort of like “free speech zones”
More official zones equals less free speech

Do you need to examine your own sexuality or your attitudes toward sex in general?

Watch the influx of refugees stream into Western/First World Nations
Challenging us to redefine our sense of cultural identity

A planet without bees is a world without flowers and fruits
Talk about a buzz killer

Bees know there is power in numbers . . .
We should adopt that wisdom when it comes to a Critical Mass that
tips the scale of collective consciousness into a positive dimensional shift

Waking up to the power of transformation will transcend the conventional logic of
even our most celebrated and brilliant minds

Take a moment to stop and smell the fruits of your labor . . .
and the fruits of the present moment in the Zen of right Tao

See you further on up the trails,

Ari

Frog Hops into the Spring Mix

Frog is a natural spring cleaning, in yin feng shui fashion . . .
Time to clear away residual cobwebs from the ghost town of winter’s dirge

Do you remember the voices of yesteryear?
What do those peeps tweet to you about today’s relationships?

May the rains come to purify our souls . . .
Let old, stuck energies go with the flow
to a place where deep roots grow

Frog is an internal martial artist that releases
any energies that might be causing you emotional negativity

What needs to be released from your psyche?
Frog facilitates the development of healthy boundaries

They are magical connections to elemental forces of water and land
The pouring rains are the touring bands

Lunar energies of abundance and fertility will peak,
on a Full Flower Moon in a couple of weeks

Change is in the air . . .

Bring the noise through water and sound
Creativity abounds!

Does stress got you feeling depleted?

Be mindful of your breath
Stop, hit the pause button and think twice before you act

See you up the trails,

Ari

I am looking forward to the forthcoming arrival of my first professionally published book, Something to Chew On: Digesting Healthy Spiritual Food for the Soul in the Calendar Year Ahead. I will keep you posted regarding when it will be released to the public. This book is a collaboration of my writing and my Aunt Barbara’s artwork. I have confident faith that it will be a helpful trail guide along the path of walking meditation.

Colorful Vision Rises with Turkey Vulture

Turkey Vulture flies in the skies this week,
in concert with a blossoming Full Pink Moon on Friday . . .

Spring is here in the Northern Hemisphere
and a colorful world is blossoming before our eyes

Psychically hang glide with Mother Earth’s thermals with minimal effort . . .

This signals an opportune time for a general
Spring Cleaning through the Moon’s last quarter

Purification, death-rebirth, new vision and connections to a
marital relationship with Heaven and Earth is awakening

Take in a living breath of oneness . . .
Exhale the dead air of segregationist thinking

Outward expansion of Yang’s expressiveness
Gives rise to powerful intuitive feminine song bird vocals

The resourceful ways of Turkey Vultures reflects
renewable energy and a natural conservation of our environment

May the political and business interests reflect the wisdom of Turkey Vulture!

Their medicine of disease prevention is best practice

Meditate on levitating above the physical laws of the material realm
So that we can release old ways that no longer serve

Walk in alignment with your own roots sinking into Mother Earth
Let any negative energies flow down into Her for renewable compost

Connect with ancestors whom have passed on . . .

May their spirits guide us into a unified playing field
reflecting a Heaven and Earth connection that we can see
with individual and collective eyes

A flooding of emotional memories from when they were living comes on like waves
Picture surfing them to gain a deeper appreciation for the living moment

Till next week takes flight,

Ari

Dream a Lucid Dream with Loon

Hawk and a New Moon flew past us at the tail end of last week
Loon now chimes into our Dreamtime . . .

Mercury is in Retrograde again –

Offering a deepening appreciation for increased
communication breakdowns in logical and left-brain systems

Swimming with Loon guides us into intuitive streams of thought and
powerful currents of feminine waters, creative contemplations and meditations

Powers of lucid dreaming are stronger now

Groundhog Day and a Chinese New Year of the Monkey
Arrive in early February

By then, underground seeds of spring will begin subtly stirring

But for now, Loon guides us further into the waters of our souls
Singing resurface songs to free our submerged selves

Reawakening old wishes and dreams hoping to come up for air
Perhaps their energies have been caught up in underwater stagnation

Imaginative Dreamtime wants to illuminate their slumbering darkness

The old ways of the status quo are outdated roadmaps for new business

Death is in the air this time of year in the Northern hemisphere . . .

But death without dying through lucid dreaming is a real possibility
So there is no need to be spooked by the resurrection of old ghosts

Yes, our bodies will expire . . .
But they are vessels that require nurturing for safe travels
Might as well balance work, play, rest and diet is spiritual health for our souls

The death of Winter evokes a soul facing its ultimate mortality
Part of our work here is to soften our human attachments

May we relax our fear of aging, loss and dying!

See you onward up the trails,

Ari

Hawk Circling Around Here Again

The magical energy of a New Year and New Moon swoop in this week –
In the wake of the visionary air of Hawk

Hawk’s energetic connections to Mercury are good reminders to not take
Retrograde Twilight Zone mind tricks too seriously

Remember the Oz like smokescreen screenplay we are all enticed to buy into
is an illusion with a reality to that perception . . .

Yes, the corporate media serves up more bad news for us to gobble up
and try to keep us afraid of our own dark sides and shades of grey

There is so much tragedy for our eyes to see

But a New hope for this Chinese year of the Monkey is a healthy opportunity
to rise to the challenge of tuning down the internalized background noises of
surround sound chatter and underlying anxieties

Or just the freedom to not pick up the incessant and repetitive mental tapes
that dominate internal voice mail systems

Hawk helps us become aware of the obvious signs and synchronicities
that might have been hiding in the shadows

Meditation on Temperance reveals
Hawk’s assertion to pay attention!

See with the wide open angle gaze of Hawk
Look at the big picture without getting lost in the details

Take responsibility instead of blaming others

Be with the Grandfatherly sunlight of heartfelt connections . . .
Without forgetting the gravitational pull of our Mother Earth

See you onward up the trails,

Ari

Weaseling Our Way Between Rocks and Hard Places

Weasel powerfully guides us into the dark with a
keen sense of naturalistic observation –
Their medicine helps circumvent obstacles that get in the way . . .

Sly like Fox, their energy awakens
our ability to pursue goals in catlike stealth

Paradoxically, remember to do that with the
grace of a swan and a best policy of honesty

Are you trusting your feelings and senses?

Yin is a dark feminine energy that can come on like a storm . . .

Try not to get sucked into its vacuum by remembering that
rainbows paint the skies illuminated by the light of day

Are you digging in enough into the dark and narrow tunnels of your soul?

Let it become obvious that there is grave danger in the shadow building
due to the unintended consequences of
an “ends justify the means kind of thinking”

You can see that play out in our world today in economic mobster like fashion

Look back upon the precolonial old new world for a spell . . .

Do you remember when Weasel foreshadowed the ships coming in
and the strange new ways of ladies and gentlemen with
“guns, germs and steel” from the old world?

It takes a nation of robotically controlled dinosaurs to deplete
our base’s natural resources to hold us back . . .

But if we dig deep enough then we see that
there is enough and we can all win

What would happen if the overwhelming majority –
all had equal access to the resources we need?

Instead of selling out to an Imperial massive welfare
funneled straight from your checkbooks to a privileged and dominant minority . . .

Weasels, like janitors seem to have a knack for knowing
the black truth about what is going on in organizations –
even if they are not privy to the happenings behind closed doors

Picture a weasel to help you find out about hidden reasons
that are cloaked behind brilliant disguises . . .

If you are stuck between a rock and a hard place –
Use the energies of a New Moon this week
Coupled with Weasel to help you find novel ways out . . .

Perceive through a solution-focus lens of ingenuity and heightened energy

Onward up the trails,

Ari

Listening to the Magical Music of Crows

Crows work together with watchful eyes
Their alert and wary energy symbolizes clear views of the horizon

They remind us that “today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday”

What messages are on their way for you to receive?

Time to recycle familiar infiltrated trash piles
to transform into renewal energy during a darkening moon

We are moving further away from Fall . . .
Days are fading into primordial darkness –
in a black like Crow kind of way

The Samhain marks mid-point between Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice

Before too long –
The Winter Solstice will be here in the Northern Hemisphere
Our darkest day of the year before we begin to coax back the light

Seasons hold up mirrors revealing that
everything is transitory and ephemeral

In much the same way as our world is evolving . . .

Fossilized old world coins printed in a business as usual love story
Will crystallize into an egoless new world economy

Time to open your hearts to the idea of investing in loss
to cash in on win-win outcomes measured by the
exponential growth of getting what you no longer want

The time is now to honor the spirits of our ancestors
and let go of yesterday’s old wounds

May we give back the baggage that was handed down to us
and ask them to lighten their load by shedding dead skin
so they may walk in the light

Spirituality transcends physical laws
By bending the will of materialism

Peering into our shadow sides
Illuminates a pathway into our soul’s den to awaken creativity

Darker months give us the opportunity to see that
creation is born out of the feminine womb of life

Do you see the mystical and magical opportunities
for creativity in your daily routine?

See you further on up the trails,

Ari

Spider Guides Us into Climbing with Minimal Entaglements

A Full Hunter’s Moon
Weaves spirits into our material world

Grandmother Spider inspires us to get in touch
with our inner web designs

It is a good time to use our creative opportunities
without becoming entangled in dark webs of fate

Try to transcend polarizing viewpoints and boxed in thinking
Consider appetizing possibilities rather than being
eaten alive by fears and limitations

We are Infinite beings being revisited by ancestors
during the Samhain through the window of a Divine Plan

May our meditations become enhanced by their past wisdom,
forethought and power for living in the here and now

Walking the center of the circle in balance keeps us grounded

The veils between our physical and spiritual worlds are thinner now
Are you being haunted by the ghosts of yesteryear?

There is so much help available to us from the spirit realm
All we have to do is ask and allow ourselves to receive their wisdom

Realize the death of your old self is merely a shedding of dead skin
Facing our fears of an unknown rebirth head on is less scary than
anxious avoidance of unknown possibilities

With a Hunter’s Full Moon
Fallen leaves reflect mystery and hidden realms

Let Nature mirror healthy reflections of divergent viewpoints
through an empathic and self-reflective lens of curiosity and warmth

See you further on up the trails,

Ari
