is a man-made construct

as I gaze into the stars
billions of light years away
pondering
who’s on the other side
billions of light years away
and yet
here we are looking at one another’s
past in the present moment

so . . . depending on whose perspective
i’m billions of light years old or young
or both at the same time

question . . .
which represents my time?

answer . . .
past, present and future
capture the essence
of the eternal now
and our illusion of time
